It’s no secret that I love food. When I’m not working, I’m usually cooking or eating — or reading about cooking or eating. It’s led to some interesting passion projects.
Homemade
Get inspired to spend more time in your kitchen.
So many people are intimidated by the idea of cooking their own food — that shouldn’t be the case! In 2018, I launched a TinyLetter to share recipes, cooking tips, and other food ramblings.
Your Perfect NYC Scoop
Find your ideal ice cream shop in New York City.
This was my final project for the Front-End Web Development class I took at General Assembly in 2017. (That means I built it myself, using HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery!) It’s still a work in progress, but you can select different criteria to find your perfect ice cream shop.
Supper Studio
See an intimate concert while eating food inspired by the band.
In 2013 I co-founded a seasonal event series that hosted 40–90 guests for an epic dinner and show from nationally touring artists including Mirah, Pearl and the Beard, Xenia Rubiños, and TEEN. Our unique take on a dinner party was featured in The Village Voice, Brooklyn Magazine, Brooklyn Based, Honest Cooking, CMJ, and more.
Eating the Beats
A music junkie’s guide to cooking.
The blog that started it all! In 2011 I turned my love of music and food into a cooking blog, in which I created recipes inspired by music. It was very DIY and I cringe looking back on some of it now, but it was fun while it lasted.
